Mexico is regarded as one of the strongest football countries in the North American region. The country has participated in various international tournaments and regularly compete in the World Cup. The highest achievements ever achieved by Mexico national football team are reaching World Cup quarterfinals stage, becoming runner-up in three Copa America tournaments, and winning Confederations Cup in 1999.
